Bringing Them Home Camp
has set up camp in
the crater @ Mt. Franklin. This is an ancient volcanic crater that is sacred
to the Dja Dja Wurrung people.
After the SOS Conference, about 30 people gathered @ the crater, including Aunty Veronica Brodie, Aunty Wadjalabinna and members from other Aboriginal Tent Embassies, for a sacred fire ceremony. Aunty Susan Rankin sends her thanks to all that have helped "Special thanks to all the Students of Sustainability and the organisers,for bringing grassroots Elders together, for listening, learning, sharing and spreading the word, for creating awareness about the Indigenous Land Use Agreement and the Mineral Council of Australia, and for all those that came out to reset up camp.... Let's keep creating Sustainable Societies!" We are having a Family Fun Day (that means you!) this Sunday, RECREATING @ THE CRATER, A RECOGNITION OF THE NEED FOR LAND JUSTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL INDIGENOUS PEOPLE The Fun Day will begin @
